The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that uses a timer to break down work into focused intervals, traditionally 25 minutes long, called “pomodoros”. These are separated by short 5-minute breaks, with a longer break of 15-30 minutes taken after every four pomodoros.
Developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, the technique aims to improve focus, reduce procrastination, and prevent burnout by creating a sense of urgency and making tasks feel more manageable.
